Meeting Standard 4.2 Connected Learner
ISTE standard 4.2 combines two best practices in education: reflective teaching and learning by example. For this standard, coaches must reflect on their practices and identify ways to improve their coaching, while also modeling the ISTE standards for students.
The ISTE student standards outline specific ways that students can grow into responsible, safe, effective users of technology. By incorporating the practice of modeling student standards into one of the coaching standards, ISTE ensures that coaches keep the students’ learning in the forefront of their minds while supporting other educators.
