Meeting Standard 4.7: Digital Citizen Advocate
Our personal lives have moved online in many ways, and this can be both a boon and a dangerous risk. The mistakes of adolescence are more permanent and more visible, and the consequences for perfectly normal missteps can be long-ranging and severe. As such, it grows more important to teach students the skills of curating their digital presence, behaving ethically, and examining digital resources critically.
ISTE standard for coaches 4.7 focuses on this growing set of skills. Coaches need to guide and support educators and students as they navigate the digital environment.
